Nashville. It’s a funny little place with a very cool vibe. One thing is for sure, if country is your jam, then this is definitely the place you should be living!
We crashed the night before at an empty boat ramp, set up the tent in the dark and managed to rustle up some grub for the hungry husband. The next morning was glorious. The air was crisp and the sun was glistening across the beautiful lake that we discovered we had camped next to. The windows of the 4Runner were caked in ice, and the pair of socks we’d left out overnight were frozen. I’m beginning to think that ‘cold’ is going to be a recurring theme in this trip. We convinced ourselves to brave the cool morning and took off for the city.
Now i’ve seen quiet towns. But this place was dead. After much debate and thought to decide on an explanation for the quiet streets we realised that we had in fact crossed a time zone the previous day – thus, it was 6am. We shouldn’t even be awake. Well done Vanovers, well done.
Bring on Colorado!
