Its a new year. Crazy how that happens. I feel like we just started 2013… but when I think back to everything that 2013 held, i can’t help but marvel at its fullness.
I got married to the love of my life and moved to the other side of the world. We picked a State, drove across the USA and moved into our first home. Not gonna lie, those are some pretty huge chapters and to have ticked them off before i turned 21 was giiinnooooormooouusss. Blows my young mind. We started off this year with our 1 year anniversary and honestly I can’t imagine a better way to start each new year! It is the sweetest experience to celebrate your love and look back on the year of marriage you shared together, while also standing at the beginning of another year full of adventures, learning and love! I am constantly thanking the Lord for the ways in which He has shown us His love and for the magnitude of His plans. I cannot even begin to imagine what 2014 has in store for us!
I don’t usually make resolutions. In fact, i can’t recall ever making one before. But this year I want to live purposefully. To learn purposefully. To love purposefully. This year I resolve to..
Seek out adventures.
Make creative play a priority
Surrender more to the Lord
Be more present in the moment
Read more books
Do something with old photos
Eat more healthily
Give back more
Write more letters
Unplug and get outside
Whether you are ready to leave 2013 behind, or sad to close that chapter, my hope is that this year you feel loved. I hope you feel strong and empowered from something you do. I hope you have at least one moment that makes you feel perfectly whole. I hope that you dream bigger and work harder. I hope you take the time to enjoy the little moments. I hope that you live a life of purpose.
