The sky was blue. The snow was white. And our spirits were high!
We set up camp in the snow this afternoon. That’s right Anna, more cold. Don’t even ask me how it’s going to be getting out of bed tomorrow. Gotta say, this was my first time tenting in the snow. BUT IT WAS AWESOME.

There’s something awesome about a camping trip where you stop whenever you want, wherever you want. And today was no exception. We hopped out of the car to this. Pure. White. Wooded. Beauty.

I have come to the conclusion that i would quite enjoy winter camping. That is, if we had enough hot water bottles to cover every inch of my body – that and an electric blanket. The battery operated sort that you can take camping. The sort they haven’t invented yet.

But there were definitely pluses. Big pluses. I think i must have grabbed every item of food we had and planted it in the snow all around our campsite. Hello makeshift fridge! And hanging a hammock in the snow is pretty legit. Let’s be honest guys. You know you all want to try it.

This place was beautiful. We had a killer view over Colorado and it was probably the most perfect way to end our time in Colorado.
