We did our very first wedding show over the weekend and wanted to share some photos with y’all!
The first time i ever went to a wedding show was last year as a bride-to-be myself. It was cheesy… and yet almost every engaged girl I know attends these things! Being there got me thinking that if we made a cool, trendy and fresh looking booth, our business could really stand out! A few years back i had come so close to studying interior design, and this was my chance to ‘design’ a space and pretend i was! For a few weeks i scoured Pinterest for inspiration, then got to work on sketching plans, searching stores, figuring out ways to bring the woods indoors and getting to work on building the props. Naturally, knowing me and the fact that Andrew had a full time job, we procrastinated up until about two days before the show. Expected (i know) but totally inexcusable. We were still framing prints and screwing the doors together at 10pm the night before!
Andrew did an incredible job of making all of the wooden stands and frames in record time.
It almost felt like a dream to see the booth come together on Sunday morning, because it felt too good to be true. Don’t ask me how we managed to pull it off, but God definitely had something to do with it.
We had a blast creating a space that felt inviting yet fresh and really voiced our photography and style in a way that we couldn’t have expressed in words.
Special thanks to Cups for keeping our bellies full of deliciously divine cupcakes and being such fun and awesome neighbors!
